ANSI 60-day Public Comment Period Is Now Open for the TMA-AVS-01 Alarm Validation Standard

July 15, 2022, McLean, VA – The Monitoring Association (TMA) Standards Committee has received confirmation from ANSI that the Public Comment Period for its TMA-AVS-01 Alarm Validation Standard is officially now open through September 13, 2022.

Initiated in 2020, the standard provides a method of creating an alarm scoring or classification metric for unauthorized human activity detected by alarm systems that will assist law enforcement with resource allocation and Call-for-Service prioritization.

All comments must be received through the TMA website no later than 8:00 PM ET on September 13, 2022.
