APCO Announces Reaccreditation Approval by American National Standards Institute

Alexandria, VA – The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International announces that it has been reaccredited as an ANSI-Accredited Standards Developer (ASD) by successfully completing an audit by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Maintaining our accredited status serves as a testament to APCO’s on-going commitment to ensuring public safety communications has a role in the development of standards affecting our industry.

The ANSI Audit Program is intended as a quality assurance review of an ANSI-Accredited Standards Developer (ASD)’s compliance with its accredited procedures and with current ANSI requirements. Our commitment to maintain ASD status reflects our core values, which prioritize our leadership in providing expertise, professional development, technical assistance, advocacy and outreach.

“We are delighted to be reaccredited as an ASD, a recognition that underscores our unwavering dedication to the public safety communications industry,” stated Becky Neugent, President of APCO International. “This recertification reaffirms our position as an industry leader in delivering exceptional standards in the areas of operational, technical, and training for public safety communications leaders to utilize in their emergency communication centers.”
