APCO International Announces Interim Chief of Staff

Alexandria, VA – APCO International officially announced that Meghan Architect, APCO’s Chief Marketing Officer, has been selected as Interim Chief of Staff.

Ms. Architect joined APCO International in 2012 as the association’s Marketing Manager and was elevated to the Director of Marketing and Communications in 2015, overseeing a team of four members of APCO’s professional staff. She earned her Certified Public-Safety Executive (CPE) accreditation in 2019 and her Certified Association Executive (CAE) accreditation in 2021. In June 2023 she was promoted to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Over her 12 years tenure, Ms. Architect has demonstrated the ability to effectively grow and establish a multi-dimensional department, handling association advertising, email campaigns, web and social media presence, and print publications. As CMO, she was responsible for implementing an integrated marketing approach, spanning all facets of APCO, including brand management, public relations, digital marketing and event marketing.

As a member of the executive management team, Ms. Architect will support the Executive Director & CEO enabling him to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, partners and the Board of Directors. She will collaborate with senior leaders to develop goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the association.
