APCO International officially announced that Meghan Architect, Director of APCO’s Marketing and Communications Department, has been promoted to the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Ms. Architect joined APCO International in 2012 as the Association’s Marketing Manager and was elevated to the Director of Marketing and Communications in 2015, overseeing a team of 4 members of APCO’s professional staff. Over her 11 years tenure, Meghan has demonstrated the ability to effectively grow and establish a multi-dimensional department, handling all association collateral, advertising, email campaigns, web and social media presence and print publications.
In her new role as CMO, Ms. Architect will be responsible for an integrated marketing approach, spanning all facets of APCO, including brand management, public relations, digital marketing and event marketing. Ms. Architect will join the Executive Leadership Team to collaborate with other senior leaders and closely align marketing strategies with the organization’s mission and objectives.
“In today’s interconnected world, it’s imperative that associations be nimble and poised to quickly communicate with their leadership, members, lawmakers and industry as a whole,” said APCO Executive Director and CEO Derek Poarch. “Members expect quick updates, breaking news alerts and professional publications from the association. To further serve the membership and more effectively coordinate internal marketing and communications strategies across departments, APCO is excited with the addition of the CMO position for our organization.”
