APCO International Announces New Chief Technology Officer

Alexandria, VA – APCO International officially announced that Stephen Devine has accepted the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Mr. Devine joins APCO after previously serving as the Lead Strategist – Public Safety Communications, 9-1-1 & Emergency Management, with FirstNet, AT&T Services, Inc.

As the CTO, Mr. Devine will lead APCO efforts related to Next Generation 9-1-1, cybersecurity and other emerging technologies. He will be further responsible for developing new business strategies related to all APCO technical services.

Mr. Devine has nearly 40 years of experience in public safety communications spanning from dispatch operations, spectrum management and Project 25 technologies. His longtime focus has been on outreach to agencies to ensure their operational needs were being met with technologies. He is a Life Member of APCO and committed to APCO’s success and affirming its role as a leader in advocating next generation public safety communications capabilities.
