Alexandria, VA – APCO International officially announced that Patricia Giannini Henry, formerly APCO’s Director of Events and Corporate Outreach, has been promoted to Chief of Events & Corporate Partnerships.
Since joining APCO International in 2005, Ms. Giannini Henry has exhibited a steady ascent within the organization, progressing from the role of Manager of Events and Corporate Outreach to Director of Events. By 2018, she had earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation, followed by the Certified Public-Safety Executive (CPE) accreditation in 2019. Boasting over two decades of events management expertise, Ms. Giannini Henry holds certifications in Exhibition Management (CEM) and Meeting Planning (CMP).
During her tenure at APCO International, Ms. Giannini Henry took on the responsibility of corporate business development, overseeing exhibit and sponsorship sales. Under her leadership, she expanded her department’s personnel and implemented new systems and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. As Director, she successfully boosted conference attendance by 14% above pre-pandemic levels.
As a key member of the executive management team, Ms. Giannini Henry will play a pivotal role in supporting APCO’s Annual Conference and Expo, as well as various regional events addressing critical topics such as Next Generation 9-1-1, staffing crisis, and health and wellness.
