Alexandria, VA – The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International is seeking volunteers to assist with the revision and redesignation of the standard titled ANS APCO/NENA Standard for Telecommunicator Emergency Response Taskforce (TERT) Deployment. The National Emergency Number Association (NENA) will be the Standard Development Organization for this Joint Working Group revision. Membership in APCO or NENA is not a requirement to participate in the development, revision and redesignation of any APCO standard.
APCO invites diverse participants with backgrounds in emergency communications center operations, management, technology and general interest stakeholders to assist in the revision. The APCO Standards Development Committee limits the number of participants representing APCO to no more than 15.
